花了几天功夫逐篇细读张爱玲与宋淇夫妇的往来书信，顺带又重新翻了一遍《张看》。信件里面谈及的那些大半个世纪前上海高知文艺界的旧事，如同现在高级文艺周刊下附属新闻版块中的民众杂闻一般，有些意外，有些荒诞，有些又叫人唏嘘。 开头的照片摄于一周前同一位旧友从安福路起走遍整个西区的下午。我对友人说，如果能住在这样的公寓里我就再也不搬家了，如果是常德公寓里或者大陆新村的话，那么我就预备懒散度日了。他也点头表示同意。 我现在住的地方在虹口的一处僻静区域，坐公交车到西区大约要一小时。但房间的采光非常好，好几只猫咪在楼下的空地上翻来滚去。一切可以算是无可挑剔。近来隔天有雨，秋意渐浓。靠窗读书时偶尔听得到外面的梧桐被阵风吹起的声音——想必又有一些叶子要掉下来了。 于是我打算搬回这个城市。
